pus Mons de pe Marte este cel mai înalt munte din Sistemul Nostru Solar. Muntele este un vulcan-scut (similar cu vulcanii găsiţi pe insulele Hawaii) rdicat la o înălţime de 26 kilometri şi întins peste 600 kilometri. Pentru a vă imagina cât de înalt este acest munte, este destul de spus că el este de aproximativ trei ori mai înalt decât muntele Everest.
